Beaver Lake Nature Center

Garlic mustard was introduced as a culinary herb in the 1860s and has since spread and become a serious invasive species.  A naturalist will lead the group in pulling the plant along a selected trail.  Then enjoy a delicious pesto-pasta made from the herb!  Long sleeves, long pants and gloves recommended

Silver Fox Senior Social Club

The Silver Fox Social Club NEEDS YOUR HELP! They are looking for volunteers! They would also love to have people come

and entertain their friends.

Do you sing, play an instrument, tell jokes,

do magic tricks or put on plays? If so, then they need you!

At McHarrie Senior Living Community Center (AKA - Syracuse Home)
We are in need of Volunteers to assist with

 their Night Owls Program.

They are looking for volunteers for approx. 1 hour in the afternoons from 4-5p.

They are looking for people for everyday of the week, so if you have a free day or two a week, they would love to have you.

They are looking for people to read, do art projects, puzzles or play games.

We are honored to have you as members

The Marilyn Swete Memorial Scholarship for Teen Volunteer of the Year!


Open to any high school senior living in the Baldwinsville School District.


Volunteer activities performed during grades 9, 10, 11, and 12.

Both the quality and quantity of the volunteer work will be considered.


May 1, 2016.


Three member of the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center will evaluate the applications.

Judges will be impartial but close enough to community services to make competent judgments. Parents of teen volunteers are ineligible to be on the judging committee. The judges will give greater consideration to volunteer activities beyond required

commitments to school or religious affiliations.


The judges’ decision shall be based on time involved and commitment to volunteerism, answers to short essay questions, and letters of recommendation. The winner will be announced in May. A one-time $1000 scholarship will be presented at a mutually convenient time. If the recipient is a Baker High School student, the award will be presented at the school during Moving Up Day
